Description
She was getting prepped for racing over 40 years ago and then sat with no powertrain and not much of an interior on a cement pad behind a shed. It belonged to a friend of my dad's. He knew I was looking for a project and had expressed interest in it a couple of times. One day a guy came and offered him a $1000 for it. He called my dad and said I could have it for $500 if I came and got it so the guy would stop bothering him. Since then we've blasted the body and frame after separating them. Added a 1992 Ford TBird IRS, a 2000 Crown Vic IFS and set the Crown Vic powertrain into her as well. Fits very nicely. Had to fabricate new rocker boxes for both sides, new trunk floor adapted from a 66 Galaxie and installed sound deadener in the roof of the body shell. We set the body back on the frame to bring it from my dad's place to my place this past spring and now it awaits further attention. My 1954 Ford NAA tractor is pretty much done so it will be getting some more TLC soon.
