According to the schedule, the Cacklefest is at 7PM ...probably California time. I think my buddy will be in it with the "Outcast 1" Canadian fuel altered that he restored.

Larry M, I watched the parade and Cacklefest last night. It seemed to me that is was not really well-organized ....then after all of that time drug on, they said they were two hours behind schedule.
I hope it isn't that way all of the time, but I do know they were trying to have the largest Cacklefest in history, with over 100 cars, so this would have involved more potential for problems than any other effort.
My buddy Vern was there with the little pale yellow Simca coupe (looked like a Fiat), that was at the end of the row of cackling dragsters. Roger Lee (with a new replica dragster) is an old friend, and local hero and aquaintance Red Greth was there with the Speedsport car. I almost felt like a part of the event! LOL!

A 100 car Cacklefest, yup, that be a big one! That would be quite an accomplishment just to pull it off.
Heck, I was even watching it today. Didn't see the Cacklefest yet but did get to see ol' Bucky Austin tear 'em up in a funny car round.
I envy your friend Vern being there, I was down there for the March Meet this year and what a great 4 days that was.

Larry, You may remember seeing my friend in the past, but didn't know it. He races in the Northwest and Canada, and used to drive the Reese's Peanutbutter Cups alchy funnycar, and also a red blown alchy dragster after that. In recent times he has been hired to drive a nostalgia funnycar with a '71 Mustang body called the "Canadian Rebel". He will soon be in some other interesting cars. :-)
Incidentally, my brother lives in the Spokane area, attends races, and recently crewed on an altered there, so I get pictures from him occasionally. (Looks too damp for a "desert rat" like me!)

Thanks
Thanks for the tip about the live feed. I called one of my buddies that was there and asked him what he thought about one of the Top Fuel cars and he asked Are you here ? I had to laugh it was great to see the races even if I couldn`t make it down there. The still photos are also great of allthe cars in the pits. Brings back memories of my yute. LOL (My cousin Vinnie ) Thanks again Bangshift.com I will be looking forward to other events !

"(Looks too damp for a "desert rat" like me!)" Nah, we get sun ever so often around here.HRP
Well, we won't see it now til next spring but that's why we get in the motorhome and head south. We were in Tuscon in March of this year staying at an RV Park called Far Horizons, Tucson Village at 555 Pantano Rd. We were there for about a month with some other friends. We'll be coming back there around the same time next year so we'll have to meet up some place under that great Tucson sun!
Your brother must get over to "Bucky Land" or what the locals call Spokane Raceway. I haven't been to that track in years but will make it over there next year for sure.
I didn't realize that Bucky Austin had anything to do with that track til I met up with him in the pits at the March Meet and he mentioned his involvement in the track.

Here is a friend's short video from the Cacklefest.
He knows Roger Lee, also a friend of mine, with the 2nd dragster on the video ....and Vern Scholz in the third car, a pale yellow altered.

My brother would be Jim Moody. Not real active in the car hobby, but always been a fan. If you have ever hired a clown for a birthday party, or bought balloon animals from a clown at local fairs, that might be him.
