more bad luck

mite as well type type this up while it takes my computor 30 minutes to download the picture to photobucket .. let me make a short story long .. i have started working a little overtime this week in order to afford the gas it takes to get to work to begin with .. so it is much more difficult to blend into 4:30 traffic ...today leaving work i get rearended by a lady who didnt look and see that i was still in front of her .. she was a bit too eager to pull out .. " look what you made me do" she said .."now i`m gunna be late picking up my kids ".. iv`e never been in a wreck before .. well at least a wreck with another vehicle .. is my car totaled .. is her insurance company gunna want to give me 300 bucks for my wreck .. what are my options .. i will no doubt fix my car myself .. she admitted full fault on the accident report .. what is my car worth if the insurance co wants to total it ..the officer gave me a little grief cause my vin # didnt have 17 numbers .. i said its almost a 40 year old car .. there was`nt so many #s back then ..

Well, when somebody runs into you from behind, there's not a lot of question as to who's fault it is.... Whatever her insurance company does, make sure it covers your time, parts, and materials to fix the car... Your certainly not stuck in a situation where you would have to accept their first offer!!!!

Anytime somebody tells you that all VIN's have 17 digits, they're really showing their age!!!!!!!

Hoss take it to some of the repair shops around here. I know one or two, they will give you an estimate. I'm in Decatur email me and i will give you some names to appraise your car. helps when you have papers for there insurance to look at. remember it her fault she owes you or her insurance co. make them pay. I remember one time years ago our club was hosting a rod run in my home town. During the Saturday night dance, the rods were parked in a lot downtown. This local old lady came out and got into her 70's Cadilliac and backed out of her parking spot and into the right front of a '34 sedan. She crunched the fender and grill/hood. She got out walked back and looked, said "Oh, just an old car" and got back in her caddie and drove off.

It was a long hard fight, but they finally got the '34 fixed.

the churches in the background of the above photo have huge parking lots .. good place to give this " drifting " thing a try in the stang .. i need a bit more practice .. we used to do somewhat drifting back in the mid 70`s but it was on gravel country roads .. so it aint nuthin new ..

Since this is a "Random" thread, and since there is 16" of snow here and hot rodding is at a standstill for the next 5 months, here is a video of what I've been doing. I bought a mill and a lathe in the last year, and have gotten heavily into machining small steam engines from bar stock, and designing things to run with them.---happy hotrodding---Brian

please tell me why after 10 tries yesterday i finally got the pic in post # 58 to show and now doing the very same thing i keep getting invalid file message when i try to post another pic .. so many websites - so many dif posting methods .. all basically the same format .. make the little yellow box with the piramid and moon in it functional and it`s the simplist way to add a pic .. one click and go ..you click on it - it says ( insert image ) ..
