Thanks everyone. I just got home. I have to say it hurts like a bugger for the first 24 hours, but much better now. The surgery has a 70% success rate to cure the apnea, and will eliminate the snoring, which means my wife gets to sleep too!
I had the surgery done at the hospital I work at, and was very pleased with my care. Great nurses, Docs, and aids! A positive experience as hospitals go. The major underlying problem I had is chronic migraines(hopefully attributed to the apnea) and a small airway, which has plagued me all my life under exersion. Last night for the first time in my life, I could breath freely through my nose, with my mouth closed. For this alone it will be worth it. Thanks again for all of your kind words, hope the rest of you are in good health!

I'm glad your surgery went well! I suffer from sleep apnea too, I can't sleep with a CPAP and I went to a specialist who told me the palate surgery wouldn't work for me. Not sure what to do now!...CR

Happy to see your back, and things went well. It would be nice if it helps the other problems also.

I hope it works for you. I tried and ended up back on the C-Pap machine at nights.
