Should be a dandy combination for the street. Lotsa hp and lumpy sounding too. I have the P heads, B303 cam 1.72 rockers with port and polish in a standard bore with flat top slugs zero deck. It pleases me.
A porting site I will use with my extra p heads is here. http://www.diyporting.com/gtpex.html
and some of my projects here. http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/w2zero/

I'm glad I found it since I overported my original set of p's on the exhaust side. Not that it makes a heck of a lot of difference for my purposes.

I polished the combustion chambers the exhaust runners to a mirror finish to reject heat. Likewise the valve faces and backs. Maybe if I make some cash from my intake fabrications I can afford aluminum heads one day.

I've been running these for about ten years and do like them a lot. My exhaust is a bit of a problem though. In a 64 Fairlane, there just aint a lot of choice for headers. Hooker, Dougs, and one other make some for it but they are way spendy. Throwing the p's plug angle into the mix makes for header removal to change one of the plugs. Consequently, I am running HiPo cast exhaust that has been port matched to the heads.

I may yet buy a cheap set of Mustang headers and cut them up and make them fit the Fairlane with the odd plug angle on the p's. Could actually make that into a business model.

The cheapy Mustang headers would need a lot of work to direct the exhaust correctly in an 'A' - I tried it!!!! Then spent the bucks for some uncoated Sanderson's, cleaned up their mistakes in the gas path then had them Jet Hot coated rather then some vendor's unknown quality coating that Sanderson uses.

Bobby - that photo will give you some idea of where the motor mounts are as far as height.
and the other side.... http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i8...DSC_0050-1.jpg

Bobby, I think it also depends on where you intend to run the exhaust pipes rearward....will you route them through the X-member or under it? I have the Sanderson headers for mine too but I haven't completely decided the path for the exhaust.....

That sucks, but at least you went to the hosp.. Take care of yourself so you can keep on your projects.
My cousin had some chest/arm pain and his doc scheduled him for a stress test the next day. The went looking for him when he didn't show up. You know the rest. Wish I had been there to ride his ass to the ER for a read on a 12 lead ASAP.
