    Angry engine vin number location

     



    What i need is the partial vin number location on a 1991 5.0 engine. I need to register this engine on the local vehicle registration agency and I cant find it????

    Not sure if it's in the same location as my 351w, but behind and below the drivers side head on the block.
    It is easily overlooked due to dirts and grease etc that can cover it easily and since it's quite hard to fit your head between the block and the firewall to look at it.

    An easy way to get the #s off a tough to see area, is to get a pencil and a piece of paper. Put the paper on the area the # is and rub the side of the pencil lead on the paper so that the # is transfered to the paper.

    tks I will have to see if i can get it as i dont see that much space even to do what you suggested. i guess ford never though their engines were to go in other vehicles.
