    Summit carb

Trying to set stroked yblock motor up to 4r70w trans. I need to find a Throttle Position Sensor that will work with a Summit 750 electric choke carb. Called Summit and they said they did not have one. E mailed tech help and they gave me a part for Holley carb. I have seen units for Edelbrock, Holley, and others. If anyone has run this carb with a TPS, what did you use and did you have top modify anything to make it work?

A quick Google search points to the Summit carb being a slightly updated version of the Holley 4010/4011 series (4010 squarebore, 4011 spreadbore) manufactured from the mid 1980's through the late 1990's. The design never really caught on for Holley, and sales were lower than Holley projected so the design was phased out in favor of focusing on their tried and true design. A lot of Holley parts are interchangeable, which is likely why they sent you a Holley TPS. I'd say you'll likely have to adapt something, but that's just a guess.

I can adapt. I guess I will have to get some schooling on electronics since I have an electronic trans. I appreciate the background, helps understand why they suggested the Holley unit. Havent purchased anyones TPS yet, still in school. I have a Baumann controller and that hooks in pretty simply. I'll look into the Holley unit and let the forum know what I find, maybe help someone else. Thanks for the input.
