Hi Gang. I am new to this forum. I hope you will bear with me as my knowledge about Fords is quite limited.
For years I have always been a Chevy guy but recently bought a 35 Ford pickup with all Ford running gear in it.
Now I really do need a helping hand regarding building a new engine for this truck.
I have a 68 model 302 bored 030 with forged 10-1 pistons. It has been balanced and has very few miles on it. The car was wrecked a few weeks after the engine was installed.
I have a crane energizer cam #130052-272 adv duration-484 lift.
MSD ignition, edelbrock "F4B" intake with 630 cfm holley. Sanderson ceramic headers. The heads were not rebuilt when the rest was done. I am considering buying a set of World casting Windsor Jr heads for it.
I have a couple question now. Will this engine be a good strong combination? Do I need special pushrods? What should I use for rockers?
The truck has a C-4 with shift kit. The rear is 411-1 posi. Anyone got any idea how well this truck should go?
Thanks a lot for any help. John.
