Looking at a 347 stroker the aluminum head option is ~$650 over aftermarket iron heads. The engine will make about the same HP but will lose a bit of torque. Current projection is ~425HP and 450ftlbs which is going to be plenty for a 3W coupe, so losing a bit of torque is not going to be a killer. Are aluminum heads worth the extra $650?

If weight is not a consideration, don't think I'd bother with the aluminum heads, torque is too hard to come by and I never want to give any away... With aluminum heads, can usually get away with another 1/2 to a full point of compression....did you factor that in on the aluminum head option??? Increased compression should raise torque and HP..... Even at that, if you're not going racing, why spend the extra $$$$$$??????
