I put a 68 stock 302 in my 64 falcon. Since then I was talked into buying 260/289 heads and a little more aggressive cam. I was told that this combination would produce more horsepower, but so far everything I've seen is the port size in these heads is smaller resulting in less horsepower. It was mentioned that these heads would work well with chevy 350 valves. Does anyone know anything about this? Will I end up with a good motor, or am I sabbotaging my car?
