Found on another forum. Does it sound right?

The 289 crank has 1M on it and the 302 crank 2M (somewhere on a counterweight).

The 289 crank has a 2.87" stroke and the 302 has 3", so using a 289 crank with (shorter) 302 rods will give you a 289 CID engine with the pistons not sticking up far enough
