    the rule of thumb is, if you mount the motor solid then the tranny also should be mounted solid. same applies if you mount one soft the other should be soft also. if you will be spending time on the street i would advise energy suspension polyurethane mounts, pretty stiff but still has some vibration control. beware when you mount one soft and one solid that is when you crack cases, here is a link
