On a 302 engine, which do you prefer and why?
Check out a company called Affordable Fuel Injection. They make a real neat set-up that is very reliable and dependable. It works on any make of engine and you wind up turning it into a GM TBI system. You never have to worry about hard starts or anything once its installed. I put them on all kinds of vehicles in our shop. Especially those guys that dont drive their cars every day. It;s really a neat set-up and works great.
Injection.... Not even a contest. Driveablity is so much better with injection. Find a donor 5.0 car and go for it. If it's a mild to wild small block, then some of the EFI companies have the goodies to make it work on a wild motor too.
injection is great to a certain point of wild... theres only so wild of a setup you can affordably run fuel injection on before carburation becomes the better option
My cousin has a motor that came from an 89 Mustang and the engine is mine if I want it. The main issue was my saddle gas tanks, but now believe that it is workable with the tanks.
That would be the deal!! Should make a nice setup.
FI is great when it works. When it acts up you'll wish you had a carb. Your choice.
