Another question....same subject
Earlier in the week I asked about using a hydraulic flat-tappet cam in my '85 mustang roller motor. I now realize that there may be a problem. Will the little holes (pretty technical jargon huh?) that control the oil to the lifters that is in the bore still work with the shorter hydraulic lifters? I definently do not want to assemble the engine with these lifters (flat tappet) if the are going to fail immediately of course!! Also, do you guys think that a set of pushrods from an earlier model 302 would be a good starting point? and do you think that I would need a different timing chain than the one for the '85. Earlier Maybe.....Thanks in advance!!!
