I am putting a 1995 mustang gt motor (302) in a 1937 ford. I want to change the valve covers, but I am told that 1986 to 1993 efi covers will not fit the 1995 motor. Does anyone know why?
Thanks
John

shure it is not a 4.6 SOHC engine? that is the only thing I can think of, as a reason the covers won't fit, simply becuase the 4.6 is the 302- 5.0 replacement in most V8 cars, from the Crown vics to the mustang, but they all changed over in diffrent years, '93 was the first in the crown vics.
Only thing I have seen on Windsor valve covers the effect fitment is the tall covers will not fit on the EFI cars. If you're running a carb engine, the covers will fit. The short (stock or aftermarket) covers will not fit on heads that have been modified and head studs and roller rockers installed, got to use the tall covers to clear them.
This is going to stay a stock efi motor. I am going to borrow a set and see if they fit. Thanks John
