I think you can buy a new Borg Warner T-5 from Ford for $1200 and a Tremec 5 speed from Ford for $1300.

I am guessing this 300 ci came from a bronco or f150 the trans that would be stock was an m5r2 mazda unit good trans uses a hydraulic clutch or f250 f350 is a zf unit called a s542 standard or s547 which is the super duty. I am not sure if ford sells these new I am sure they are pricey I would get a used one and have it rebuilt, personally if you can drive it nice any will last 200K. just my 2 cents
like a volvo with gun racks.....
