It will fit. The 302 is supposedly only a few inches smaller. Make sure the distributor wont hit the firewall and those kind of fitting issues and you should be fine. I don't like the thought of a Chevy in a Ford but I mean, if that is all you can do and afford then it's better than nothing, go for it!
