I am looking at a catalog from a local rod shop that sells a mount kit to install a 302 in a 49-53 ford/merc car, they have two mount kits one for the front sump and one for the double sump.According to the catalog there is two different frames and you would have to measure your frame to get the right kit,at the time of printing both kits are 145.99 and come with motor mounts, trans mount and directions. I used one of their kits to mount a 351-w in my 55 sunliner and it fit good,if you are interested its butches rod shop 513-746-1113 they are south of dayton ohio and I think those mount kits are made by chassis engineering. Someone said something about pan interference and a chevy having a rear sump would be better, NO it wont as the flatheads have a center sump and this company sells kits to mount chevvys in the 49-53 ford cars but you have to drop the center link in the steering to mount the chevy motor and you dont with the ford motors. Mopar motors have center sump pans and would probably be a easier swap than a chevy. Jeff
