Mooneyes has a very nice efi system that looks just like a 3 deuce setup or you get it for 4 deuces or 6 deuces. The 3 deuce set up is about $3600 and the 4 deuce is about $4800. Not cheap, but looks and works great, set it and forget it.

As for regular aspirated 3 deuces some are a real pain in the butt. But I have found that if you set them and leave them alone, maintenance can be reduced. If you tinker than you will be re-tuning frequently. I have an Olds 371 with the original J2 option, 3 rochester 2G's, and I don't have to fiddle with them very often. I have them setup on progressive linkage and have had to not had to adjust them often. Once or twice a year at the most. Four barrels are certainly more practical, requiring less maintenance, and easier on the fuel, but the 3 deuce set up has the looks and the character. If I get rid of mine, it will be to change to dual quad setup.
