Dual quad intake ports? Parts?

I'm installing a Ford factory low riser dual quad intake on my 390. The large port in the rear had this basket that slid down in it and was stuffed with some kind of rolled up wire mesh. No cap on it though.https://i.imgur.com/AX3eHKH.jpg

Denny, I've learned that the rear opening is for a "road draft tube" Never heard of such a thing. I'm going to use it for PCV but I was wondering if I could tee fit it and also use it for power brake booster.

You'll also have to put a closed breather on the oil filler tube. If not done properly it will build up so much pressure in the crankcase that it can blow the dipstick out. Been there, done that.

Ken, if you notice the picture I showed him, it has a PCV in the valve cover, which would give the crankcase a negative pressure.
ps: Sorry Ken, I was really tired yesterday. I reread things this morning, and yes, you are correct on the closed breather where the PCV sets. That link I showed him, also has them listed there if he doesn't have one already. Or, he can use a twist in there to hold the PCV.

I was referring to the oil filler tube in the first picture.

Thanks guys. Right now the engine has valve covers with oil filler/breather and one has a PCV valve. I have not put the dual intake on yet.

Either cap the oil filler tube or put a closed breather on it.

I wish the clowns in california would have something like that on the 57 Ford Custom my dad had waiting for me when I returned from Okinawa. They plugged the road draft tube and some other hokey crap and when the engine had finally had enough it blew the dipstick out which covered the right side of the windshield. I pulled into a station and cleaned up the mess and added about 2 quarts of oil, but they damage had been done, the bearings were toast.

You can also knock out the tube from underneath and locate a Dorman distributor and select the right OD freeze plug to replace the tube. It looks so much better imho.
