MEL series motor, Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln. Also T-Bird. Run an ad in Hemmings Motor News, parts for sale, would be my best guess. Was used '58 through, I believe '65, when the 462 MEL took its place. I had one of these fitted up with a Lakewood scatter shield and RUG-A Toploader that was slated for the roadster I built, until I changed horses in mid-stream and went with a 429/C6.Last edited by techinspector1; 02-10-2011 at 09:48 PM.
