ford made a 375/401 horse in 61 and early 62.the 375 hp had a single 4,the 401 hp had 3x2.also the t-birds had an m code 390 which had 3x2 on them.plus the406/427 had 4-speeds(except 68 427 found in cougar and mustang) and NO power options or a/c.406's early,did not have crossbolt mains.later 62 1/2-63 1/2 had crossbolt mains all 427's were crossbolt mains.

that is a sweet find .. i drove a 406 6pac to high school in 73/74 .. and had another 428 galixie a few years later .. at only 9 or ten years old they were old cars even then ..one of my brothers has a 289 car now

different dash pad is stitched like seats , package tray, door panels, looks original? any idea ?

Me and a high school buddy partnered up on a 64 dual quad 427 medium raiser 4 speed top loader with a open 4.11 rear end new.His farther wouldn't allow a posi because he thought it might be too fast.Still is was a monster for two 19yr olds to drive.That thing loved 7,000 red lines.
