Does the trans. mount line up? Maybe you have the wrong manifolds?

I installed the correct perches from an FE galaxie, which "should" put the engine in it's proper place.

looks like a tranny swap is next.
are the 2222 and 2223 the correct mounts for the car?

I don't recall if this is the case on an FE, but are the mounts "handed"? The one for the left might be on the right?

yes they are handed, and can also be put on upside down!! They are put on in the fashion that pushes the engine the farthest back. part #2222 on the right
part# 2223 on the left.
