need a replacement waterpump
well, my waterpump has died... has anyone a spare rebuild or new waterpump for a 390 FE?
Or can I get the internal parts seperately to rebuild it myself? Do you supply those parts or do you know where to get them?
Apart from that, I also should mention that those items have to be shipped to the Netherlands (EU)...

Well I know that NAPA and most part houses sell rebuilt pumps for like $25-30. I'm not sure if they will ship outside the USA either. You can also try Mustang's Unlimited. They will ship to you there. They have rebuilt pumps for $35. I've heard of rebuild kits but don't know where to get them. G.

if its not leaking and you need to ride, cut the opposite fin off and put it back on. Might gain a few HP.

Go to www.summit.com and search for Flow Kooler part # BRA- 1642 '67-'76 360-428 FE $89.88. Also Flow Kooler impeller disc part # BRA-4500-06 Ford 360-428 $5.95. I believe you could fabricate a disc such as the one I mentioned and repair your pump as long as it wasn't leaking when you took it out. Summit does ship overseas, check customer service at their web site.Ken Thomas

thanx! Since I'm in the process of rebuilding, I think I like to keep the cooling aspect healthy...so I probably will go for a rebuild one
as to taking off the opposite fin, doesn't that affect the capacity of the pump severely? I mean, it's only operating with 60% of it's fins then...Going sideways through a bend isn't considered normal or even sane, so that's the way I like it!

when you buy a racing pump thats what you buy. a stock pump will punp to much water at hi rpm's. it hurts the flow in town.Mike
