Wow very cool pics and thanks for sharing them!!!! Feel free to post more if ya got em LOL. G.
Didn't Tom Hoover have a cammer?
Neat pics guys and thanks for posting them.
Thanks to Denny W for the history lesson as well.
I used to know a Ford engineer who worked at Ford during the era of the cammer.
He told many interesting tales.
Somewhere along the line he gave me a set of factory blueprints for the cammer.
Interesting engine and in some cases, interesting ways to do things.
The Gilmer looks like the way to go in this era of no-got-no-cammer timing chains.
Is that a conversion or a factory deal?

If you want to use a pic from your hard drive, click the "New Reply" radio under the newest post, toward the bottom of that page is a "post attachemnt" feature.Quote:

Denny I'm right there with ya! :3dSMILE: Cammerguy very nice ride!!! That's a beautiful site seeing a cammer stuffed in there! :3dSMILE: Thanks for the pics. G.
Thanks gents, took me about 20 years to finally put it together. Right now I'm putting it back together(blown head gasket) And I'm going to put a 2 disc mcloud clutch as my current ram clutch was sparking out of the bellhousing last time I went to the track.
Well you've done an awesome job! The quality sure does show in the detail. Outstanding! G.
Great looking Galaxie and cammer motor!!!! Looks like the time spent on it was well worth it. I'd kill to have a cammer to put in one of my Ford's!!!!!
