tach hook up
i was wondering were you hook up a tach on a 390 i've never hooked one up and my car doesn' t have one yet so i can't trace the stock wires i know were i will mount it i just don't know were the wires go (1966 thunderbird)

i have an external coil and the tach is a new summit tach w/ an internal shift light "Tach driver may be required for DIS ignition systems to work properly."~:low budget baby:~

The green wire SHOULD go to the (-) side of the coil. That is the side that's got a green wire (usually) attached to it. It may feed back to the ICM or points.The tides of change are upon us. Are you ready?

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
