M & M... I know that chokes are not required. Carter carbs (or clones) are probably more common on blower motors as Holley carbs generally require more modifications. BDS has a neat electronic fuel injection package available, but it comes with a steep price tag..about $5000 for everything. I'm sure there's someone else here that can give you much better info.. as I said, I'm not a carb guru.
