Hey there just getting ready to replace harmonic balancer on my 460 Ford(1971) and trying to remember if to loosen the bolt you go clockwise(which I think) or counterclockwise like all other bolts?
Thanks, and sorry for the brain fart!

Just like any other bolt, lefty loosey, righty tighty!!!!!!
Thanks Dave!
Too technical for me. I'll defer to Dave.

Seems to me that the heads on left handed bolts have a marking of some kind.
Any ideas on that Dave? I may be have a brain toot here.
It's lefty lucy, righty tighty! Thanks again. Just figuring out stuff before dropping engine back in truck.
You might be thinking of the old MoPar lug bolts, they were marked left and right??? The only thing I have left handed hardware on now is a couple of air grinders that are reversible...no markings on them.
No markings that I know of on leftie thread bolts.
Last one I ran into, was on an Indian motorcycle. The compensatory sprocket , and it torques down to 80 ft-lb
Just on the blade tightening bolt on my circular saw, and on the 3.5 in grinder, here otherwise don't have any others that I remember!:)
