Yeah, it's worth it, the least it could be is a 390 and there worth it also.

It looks like you have a 73 429,with the tag that was under the coil still on it means that it has not been tampered with as that tag is the first thing to be lost when repaired. A 73 motor will have a compression ratio that will be more tollerant to todays fuel unlike the 68 to 70 429s and 460s.

Sounds like a builder to me, 73 should still of had a bit of compression in it.
