429 Thunderjet clicking sound
My 71 Thunderbird with a "Newly Rebuilt" 429 Thunderjet ran great last season. I started it couple of times over the winter. No problem. Today I charged the battery and now when I turn the key I get a "clicking" sound under the hood, sounds like on the firewall.

Thanks for the replies. I will check the battery and connections. I have my doubts because everything is new- battery, connections, starter, ect. Anyone want to check out the 71 Thunderbird, go to youtube and key in "mojoedead.
I will let you know what I find.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
