What are the specs on your current engine....compression ratio ,piston type, cam numbers ,rear gear etc.......what intake do you have?
Those old heads might be better than you think for HP,but they are heavy, typically you save about 75 lbs with new aluminum heads over the old cast iron ones.......some of those old cast iron heads can support close to 700 hp worked over ............
Post some specs on your current engine and I am shure some people will be along to help you better than I can......my guess would be the Kaase p-51`s ,but they might be too much for a 429 ,but nothing a stroker kit that makes it into a 545/598 would not solve.... :D .......... Its a bolt in deal on those blocks........no clearancing or spendy work to add a stroker crank ,I think those kits run about 1600 for a good crank ,rods and pistons.
Those heads run about 2400 complete ,but well worth it.
Here is a smokin deal on scj alu heads from a reputable guy.......1690 a pair complete....These heads are brand new.
