Question How much horsepower 429/460 mix ?

I have a 1979 ford 460 stock block, piston and crank that i had machined 30 over .high volume oil pump, dove-c 429 heads with 3 angle valve job double springs and guides. 1.71 crane roller rockers a crane blue racer cam 204 intake and 214 exhaust, edelbrock proformer intake, 750 edelbrock proformer carb with 1inch spacer plate, mallory distibutor and weiland high volume water pump. No power steering and electric fan. How much you think i got and how can i get more on a small budget. Thank you all i am open to all suggestions

It "feels like 400+" because these engines have a nice, broad power range.

Flat top pistons or rebuilder dished pistons?

Stock valve sizes and no cylinder head porting?

    Headers?

Assuming dished pistons (9.5:1), no porting, optimized jetting and timing, I say about 370 bhp. Add flat top pistons & porting, 400+ is realistic with a good tune. Also, ported heads can offer up a lot more power with a bigger camshaft and Holley 850 carburetor.

Nice build, you're going to be pleasantly suprised at the fuel economy your combo is capable of provided you drive the vehicle like point-a-to-b transportaion.
