Anyone out there working on a Packard Eight engine? I was wondering if there were, to swap ideas. here's mine, with the SN60 supercharger bolted on. Headers off of a sbc, and soon a 600 Edelbrock carb.
Any input would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for the info guys, and I hope to find more people with knowledge of hotrodding the Packard Eight.

In 53 or 54 parkard straight 8s came with a factory 4 bbl carb,I think they came on the more expensive models.
Yeah, they were on what Packard referred to as the "Senior" cars.
I'm still looking for info, if anyone happens to have any. This is the project that this engine is going in, a clone of the Packard V12 racer.
Eric
I like that project, it should be a real rocket ship.Quote:

:HMMM: Your avatar name has made me think "has anyone actually put a turbocharger on a henrys" Me and a mate stuck a 671 on a 24 stud mercury years ago and it ran for a while, and than we think it died of fright.
Yeah, all I need to find is a grille shell like that one. I have one off of a 1926-28 Whippet, but a Packard would sure as hell be better.
