Flathead plymouth...
I wanted to get your opinions on a '54 Plymouth Flathead 6. I don't know if anyone has ever tried to get info on an ol' '54 Savoy, but it's almost impossible (if anyone know of pictures of this car let me know please). The engine is 217.8 cid, pretty tiny but, do you think that this would be a good rebuild project of just a good boat anchor.
One last thing, where would I even go to get a rebuild kit for this... I checked pepboys... haha just kidding.

Kantor auto parts sells parts to rebuild the flathead sixes, those motors were used from the late 30s to around 59 so if yours does not run you might be able to find a running motor. If you can find a 53 or 54 dodge with the baby hemi, those motors used the same mounts as the sixes and should bolt in.

Hey R&R
I have done the engines in a 49 & 52 plymouth and have gotten the parts from a company called Terrill Machine in texas.
If you are interested in info or the address for the co. let me know.

Maybe I've struck gold er ahh... oil here?
I have a '54 Savoy with the original flattie 6 in it.
Been looking all over for a rebuild kit for it to see if I can't rebuild the motor. The tranny seems to be loose enough as the original 3 on the tree moves without a hitch or stick in it.
Basically if I can't get one it's going to make my mind up for certain that I'll be stickin something a little more beefy and a little more modern tween the fenders.
So if someone has some positive info you can email me or put it here.
I'm leanin more towards beefy but if I can keep her stock for the most part I'd be just as happy.
Thing is this car has a net mileage of 80k and it would be a shame to rebuild her only to put more mileage on the odometer which I'll be yankin and stickin in a box to keep the value up if I absolutely go beefy. Fresh wiring kit since it's gonna be 12v'd as well.
Anyway got some pics today and hopefully I'll be gittin em on here real soon.
