If pistons are stuck use dry ice, shrinks the piston and will be able to pop them right out! Works great

Sounds logical. BTW, where in the world do you buy dry ice? I've never seen it anywhere, but hear about it all the time.

Has anyone ever heard of a process called electrolysis? I have an old 348 big block chevy that has sat out in the oklahoma weather for 15 years. I haven't tried it on the block yet but it did clean the hell out of the exhaust manifolds. Basically you make a mixture of baking soda and water and hook up electricity to the part you want to remove the rust on and a sacrificial piece of iron. The process breaks down the rust and attracts it to the sacrificial piece of iron. IT WORKS!! Just don't know how to go about doing it to a complete block and rotating assembly, really big trash can??

By the way the dry ice goes inside of the piston not on top.
