Thanks for your replies. Whatever the problem is, it is not from wear. I am not sure of the mileage on the engine as my dad bought it used and put it in. It does not smoke or use oil.
This did not happen over a period of time. I was driving it about once a week for a few miles to keep it charged etc. One day the pressure was low and it would not come up so this is something that happened over a short period of time. Can the oil pump be replaced with the engine in place? I would try that first to solve the problem before checking the bearings. I have a spare motor but would rather fix this one if possible.
