Flathead V-6?
Ford had the small version of the flathead, the V-60, from 37-40 or 41, but it was 8 cylinders. Just 2/3 the size of their regular V-8. Interestingly I found out recently that it was continued in production until around 1956, with quite a few improvements, powering Simcas. It was manufactured in France and/or Brazil. In 1957 or 58 when Chrysler bought into Simca they gave the little V-60 an overhead valve hemi conversion. These were cool looking little motors.Last edited by 46yblock; 07-08-2005 at 02:50 PM.

Well I've sure gotten old too so don't worry about it! I've had two bypass surgeries, new knees, fought prostate, cancer and diabetes. I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,...
