i just got my hands on an original owner '59 600. the body is solid and i have most of the parts for it. the car hasnt been driven since around 1974 or so. Where do you find parts for these cars? does anyone know of a good fiat parts catalog that i could get? i found bayless fiat but i dont think theyre really going to have much for the 600.

heres a picture if anyone's interested

The body would make a wicked altered with some good old American Horsepower under it Originally Posted by ford-kid Originally Posted by ford-kid

lol yea i was considering something like that. put a turbo 2.3 up front with a T-5, and a rediculously narrowed nine inch. all on a tube chassis of course. then again, this is a pretty rare car around here and i would hate to mess it up like that. it'll all come down to how easy parts are going to be to find.

I had a cute little blue '58 600 I bought new, Ford Kid. I loved it.

40 mpg was a snap, but I never managed to get fifty mpg out of it. I came close once on a trip from Fort Worth to Austin (I'll admit that I drove about 55 all the way with a healthy tail wind).

I'd like to have one like it now!

I used to have a '59 in the early 60's. Loved that little car. Hate that I sold it. Have always wanted to transplant a 140 hp Corvair engine/transaxle with fender flares to cover the tires and softer springs. Should be fun. PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

A friend of mine had one, it was a lot of fun. But with four of us kids on board, every dog in the neighborhood could out run us. Bob

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!
