If anyone ever has a chance to go to any nostalgia races, GO. It is the most fun I have had at any event in many years. First of all, you can relate to the cars running, especially if you are a little older, and secondly, it is just a light hearted event with all kinds of cars racing that have never probably been down a track in their life. Just a cool, fun day.
Hope you go, Mello, you will love it.

Well, Don, you've really got me thinking now. It's only about 90 minutes from my house and if the weather looks halfway decent I may just crank up the '55 and cruise over there to see wha'sup !

Just go. We've been to several. Went to the Nostalgia Drags at Bradenton, Fl strip a couple of times and to the Billetproof Drags in Lakeland, Fl. Can't explain how cool they are. The current drags don't really do a lot for me as I have a hard time relating to Berettas and those types of cars, but when you see a 55 Chevy lined up against a Model A, THAT to me is racing.
Here are a couple of shots from those races to get you in the mood.
