I bought a car at the same auction, rust free Arizona car ('56 Ford) that needed to be gone through.... For a guy from the rust belt/poverty belt I made out great as both a buyer and as a seller!!!!!!
If you've never been to one of the BJ auctions, just walking around looking at the cars to be sold is well worth the price of admission even if you don't even get a bidder's number!!!!!! IMO, the only better car show on the planet is the SEMA show!!!!!
PS---One other note, the last few years, always included on the highest price cars sold are a number of them that the entire proceeds of the auction go to some very worthwhile charities....On these, BJ doesn't even collect the normal buyer and seller fees, or the comission..... Lots of the big buck bidders really start bumping the price up when these charity cars come across the stage!!!!! Goes to show that Hot Rodders of all economic levels are always ready to dig in their pockets to benefit a worthwhile cause!!!!!!
I believe this was somewhere around 2015, Rick, Rosie and Johnboy
