HMM, not without ANY information about the motor other than it's a ford 400 and you think theres somthing wrong with the heads, give a little more info and there are very nowlagble people on here that can help.
when the car starts it shakes really bad an sounds like shit. the last person to work on the car was a chevy mechanic an tried to adjust the valves after he worked on it. it never ran the same the car has not been started in a few years an i am goin to try to fix it soon does that help a lil more
nothing has been replaced except spark plugs and wires the last thing done to the vehicle was a valve job from a chevy mechanic an ever since it has been like this i really want to kno what i should to go about tryin to fix or figure out what the problem is. we think the problem is that the valves are to tight an i just want to know if that is possible because i have been told hydraulic lifters are not adjustable.
do all this while engine is running right ?
and will this be possible if they are hydraulic ?
im sorry if im being a bother i just am tryin to find all the info i can cause this is my first car an im tryin to do the work as cheap an is effective as i can thank u for ur patience
do u also think replacing the heads may be a good choice since the problem is the heads could that be a possibility ?
im really not sure what that website means could u please explain thank u ?
arent 400 and 400m exact same ?
just like the 351m/400 are the same on top end
the is only 1 Ford 400, the heads are the same as 2 barrel Cleveland or 351M

Well, I won't even pretend to know very much, but aren' there "open chamber" and "closed chamber" units? Which begs another question; What if ya leave the air injection ports open, and just plug off the ports on the ends of the castings??_________________
