    Can't get smooth running

I have an 84 chevy K10 that I put a 350 in. After building the motor and bolting on the carb, I can't the truck to idle. It'll idle for a short time then start to die like it flooding out. The fuel is runnig at about 10psi. Or at least I think it is. Used a tire guage. Only thing I had. At this point, the only thing a can figure is I have a vaccum leak in the vaccum advance. Any ideas as to what I might be looking at?
    .060 over
flat top pistons with valve releafs
    slightly bigger cam
I think part of the problem could be in the carb tuning but not the best at that.

Ten PSI is too much for a carb. You need a good regulator to get it down to more like 5psig, and you need to get an accurate gauge on the system to set the regulator if you get one that's adjustable. You're likely blowing fuel past the needle, flooding out your carb. Fix your fuel pressure first, then if you still have a problem people can help assess it for you.

Welcome Aboard Ratchetman.. As the previous poster mentioned, 10 psi would be way to much for a carb. But I'm curious how you used a tire gauge to read fuel line pressure?

Did you adapt a schrader valve into the line? Just curious.
