what goes inside?
advancing cam some degrees gives more torque at low RPM, retarding it more at high RPM, what happens when you do so inside? why more torque at low RPM in an advanced cam?

its not that there is so much torque with the cam advanced---its just that the torque curve will be a couple hundred RPM sooner----Like instead of max tq at 5000rpm it might be at 4700rpm--
this is more something that is played with around gear ratios in a trans/rearend to adjust shift points out of a corner
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
