    Welcome to the site axed29. I am not sure I would have pulled the motor for that just yet. I personally am not a fan of the Q-jet, I would start there, rebuilding one is scary if you have never cracked one open before, tread lightly there. Or if you can afford it upgrade to a Holley 600, or a Quick fuel 600. Change all filters, plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, all basic tune up stuff. Without knowing exactly how crappy it was running thats all I can offer at this time. Maybe a senior member will step in also for some needed advice.. Also welcome aboard !
