One of my customer brought his High dollar Snap on dial back timing light to our shop and done some comparing it on his racecar and his light did show the timming mark jumping all the place and I got my Old school timming light and it show the timming mark is so steady you couldn't see it move.
Customer was so fustrated after he saw the diffrence and threw his timmig light far as he could and went bought plain jane timming light.

Sure do wish I would have been there to catch it!!!! I would have sent it back to Snap-on and had it repaired then put it in the cabinet with my other one!!!!! The light used also depends on the ignition system in the car,,,,lots of dial back lights will not work with a multiple spark ignition system... I use my MSD light on them and my Snap-on for most everything else.... No problems.... Let me know next time somebody wants to throw away a perfectly good $400.00 timing light, I'll glady pay the freight to send it here!!!!!!

Guess I just can't afford to throw $400 lights around the shop is all!!!! But i guess I would let ya borrow it!!!!!
