Hello! I am new in the forum , and don't have enough knowledge about this engine ,so I am thankful for any advice you give me about my project . So, my project is for a Chevy 454 engine supercharged carb engine .I decided to use this engine because it is pretty popular and there are enough spare part at low cost. If you can advise me for another better engine choise I will be thankfull. I am thinking to take a forged pistons with 8:1 compression ratio. Forged H-beams. I think to use 2 Eaton M112 superchargers for it . I need about 14-18 psi of boost . So I want at least 1000hp with this set up. My idea is too build cheapest and strong enough engine . There are no limits for engine displacement or management . Only I want is at least 1000hp at a lowest possible price and enough strong engine for drag, with unlimited class , I think tu take the engine in Europe where I am from! Thank you !

You do know that something like this will cost in the $25,000 area to build it correct. Originally Posted by Teao Originally Posted by Teao

I would not think twice in a project of that magnitude (both dollars and power production) of getting rid of your stocker crankshaft for a new high quality forged. Peanuts compared to the overall cost. Originally Posted by Teao Originally Posted by Teao
