distributor advance problem
when i turn my distributor counter clockwise my timing light shows the line moving towards before tdc. shouldnt it be advancing and moving the other way?

Distributor rotor rotates clockwise so turning the distributor counter-clockwise causes timing to advance.Last edited by ceh383; 06-24-2007 at 02:13 PM.

Clockwise retards the timing. To double check. Move it counterclockwise and the mark should move to "your" left on top of the balancer. If you move the distributor clockwise, the mark travels to "your" right as you look down from on top.Last edited by nitrowarrior; 06-24-2007 at 02:07 PM.
