    carb problems

well just for fun i took the galaxie to the dragstrip last friday night and it ran great until i got to the end of the track and started turning off. when ever i slowed down at the end of the track the car would shut off and gas would be dripping out of the little rod going into the diaphram going to the secondaries. it started doing this about 3 months ago and i just pulled the carb off and cleaned it thinking well thats no big deal it was just a little gummed up. well since it had been 3 months i figured before i got to the strip i would pull the bowls of and spray the floats and give the carb a good spray of carb cleaner so i know it was clean before i went to the track. the floats all moved freely and it seemed like it was going to be fine well i got to the track and it is still getting stuck. the carb is a holley 4160. could the diaphram be bad? or something else?

How much fuel pressure do you have at the carb inlet?

yah that makes sense....now that i know what it is im just not gonna worry about it bc next week my 406 is going in and i have a carter for it but i will be sure to check the pressure, dont think ill have any problems bc it ran great in the last car it was in but better safe than sorry. should i have anymore than 4.5 psi. for the 3X2 setup since there is a fuel rail and 3 bowls instead of only 2?

ok thanks now i just have to get them all tuned and the linkage adjusted on the 3X2...they were already adjusted and one of my friends came over and saw the carbs sitting there and decided it would be a good idea to make it so that as soon as the middle carb opened all the others do too.....i could have killed him
