Edelbrock or holley

I have a 77 460 ford motor that has a edelbrock 750 CFM carb that seems to be a little rich,I have been told it might be too big of a carb for it so I am planning on getting a 650 CFM carb. What carb would be the easiest to tune,a holley or a edelbrock. Jeff

750 should not be too large for a 460. Actually, 800 is pretty much right for a street big block Ford. Maybe your carb needs some work, or different jets?

As to which is better, Holley or Edelbrock. Depends on who you talk to. Me, I think Edelbrocks are more dependable on the street, but that Holleys tend to be better on drag engines. Now, that is just me. I could be totally out in left field on that, and someone else could feel just the opposite.

I guess it boils down to what you personally have had better luck with. There are lots of other options too, like Demon, but I have never owned one, so I can't speak about them.

But, anyway, 750 is not too big, regardless of brand.

all the previous info is in my opinion correct and i agree and if you change to the holly then i would rec' that you get acouple of extra power valves, you might need them

agreed, and i have also had the anti blow out valves go bad also, jmo, i just prefer the edllbrock over the holly for the street
