compression ratio
i put a 78 440 in my 88 ram and am a little dissapointed the engine is rebuilt as the 78 2 years ago i want to hop this engine up and need some sugestions,
first the manual says the motor has 8.2 compression ratio and a small 4.25 lift cam, and a cast crank and new pistons (bored .040), i think the heads are 88cc
edelbrock has the aluminum performer heads in 84cc, does anyone know what this will do to my compression ratio, i want to put a 4.80 lift cam in it but the compression ratio right now wont let me
if i can get a good head and cam package and have my motor hold up for about 3years i want to eventually tear it back down and put the 496 stroker kit in it and re use the heads and cam if i get new ones

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
